Given a choice I to prefer to support smaller stores or service oriented suppliers as compared to big box places. There is a definite value to these places. I just wanted to clarify that just because you pay more does not mean you are getting any better product. There are only a few battery manufacturers left. Many of the known brands are simply marketers. Some may not even use the same supplier year after year.

The Wal Marts I have been to mostly haven't had any 'service' dept. for stuff like autoparts. I have always found fairly good knowledge and helpful service at the NAPA stores I've dealt with....some in really 'obscure' towns.. Wal Mart is probably cheaper.. Don Hanson
