Dennis, I know what you mean on actually seeing vans on the road,
however I have to share something I experienced when going to Belize
last January.  Went to Belize to work on a customer's Vanagon (88 Silver
Wolfsburg).  While staying in the Placencia area we drove all the way
down to the end of the peninsula.  This is one of those "end of the
world" places that you come to the end of the road and there is the
ocean on all sides except behind you.  What do I find at the end of this
road but a Vanagon just sitting there parked on the side of the road.
It is one of those two tone brown and tan 84s that are out there.  I
have personally owned one of these so it was cool to find one here at
the end of everything.

So I guess that just says to me that at the end of the road, there will
still be a Vanagon sitting there, waiting.   Just thought I would share.
