Sure. However, it has been my personal experience that all Jetta Mk3's are rear brake pad pigs. On a recent tour at my friend's shop (yesterday), every single one of the eight Mk4's on the premises exhibited more wear on the rears than the front as evidenced by abundance of brake dust at the rear wheels vs. the fronts. Of the three mechanics usually assigned to work on Mk4's and by confirmation from the order writer and shop owner, all Mk4's they have services exhibit excessive rear brake pad wear compared to front brakes regardless of pad type in situations where the same brand is used on both the front and the rear. The only Mk4's I have ever observed at this shop (minimum of 5/day 4 days a week for the past two years) has had only single piston rear calipers.
