I've been using LED dash lights for about 8 years now, first homemade units then the ones from Van Cafe (btw, the homemade ones compare well with the store-bought). I like them but they could be improved. The light comes out of the LED more from the tip than from the sides and that is not the best geometry for the Vanagon bulb housing. I've tried a few things to improve, yet to try is some reflective foil in the housing.
