Since I started this, I will address it.

Michigan's Lower Peninsula is sort of shaped like your hand, or a mitten. If you 
have been in, or near Michigan, you will have seen SOMEBODY use their hand as a 
map, point at some spot on that hand, and state "I am from here, near  (insert 
nearest big city)".

And lately, here in Michigan, our weather has started to suck.
