Joel,

Sounds like clutch hydraulics. Either a clutch master or slave cylinder is going bad. Not a bad idea to replace both if one is bad. Although, the clutch master is a pain to replace compared to the slave.

Cheers,

Jeff

Hey all,

Last summer I installed a rebuilt syncro trasaxle + brand new HD Luk clutch kit into my 91 Multivan. And all was well with the world.

This past week, while stopped at a light, clutch pedal pressed, the van jerked forward, and engine stalled. Today, I had a similar experience in the In 'n Out drive through, and it was difficult to get the van back into gear until I rolled backwards a bit (should have seen the look on the driver behind me :) ).

In any case, where should I look 1st? Does this sound like a clutch or transaxle issue? Is there anything to check that doesn't involve pulling everything apart?

Thanks

Joel
