Basically, I have had the same experience you have had for 2.5 years, though I do not run the refrigerator on propane while driving (a different discussion, and no need to reopen it now, it has been hashed over). However, we recently had torrential downpours, and I did have a little water intrusion, not just via the refrigerator vent, but through door seals and window seals also, despite those having also worked quite well in heavy rain in the past. No water came out of the drip tube, but the refrigerator would not light. I hooked it up to my house current and ran it that way for a day. After that, it lit fine, and also did several days later without the preheating (and presumably drying) period.

So, I just thought I should try again to provide cover for the vent.

Thanks, David
