Many things have gone up in price especially for local retailers. Be aware that discount priced tires may be old stock. Check the date codes. I see all too often where folks install new tires that are already one to two years old.

As I returned from work this evening, upon opening the garage door, I noted that Lola was definitely listing to the left (drivers side) more so than usual. As I suspected, a flat left rear tire. This is the same tire that was repaired the end of October. I had meant to price out a couple of new Hankook RA08's after that trip, but it slipped my mind. That need was brought painfully to the forefront tonight!

Anyway, I called one local place here in town who quoted me $135 per tire (installed). He said tire prices went up 35 percent the first of this year. Is that true? I see Bus Depot is still offering them for less than $80 each (and if I lived anywhere close would swing by and pick up a couple). I had two put on about 18 months ago for $95 per tire (installed). I just need to get two more. Will be getting a few more quotes in the morning.
