I discovered something draining my battery recently. I picked up an item at the "everything costs $1" store. It plugs into your lighter socket and has a flexible cord, then a head on it that has 3 white LEDs and 1 Blue LED, and it also has a magnifying lens. A button on the plug turns it from off to 2 white LEDs or 1 blue LED. For $1 I thought it would be good even if just for parts. So I had it in my van for a few weeks and played around with it while driving at night. Then I noticed my house battery getting low. I hadn't driven the van much, but it was still too low. Finally I went to unplug the light and found that the plug part was slightly warm. Hmmm. The thing was drawing 25mA when off, 35mA with the 3 white LED and 30mA with the single blue one. Maybe that's why it ended up in the $1 store. Edward At 07:56 PM 12/6/2011, randy velasco wrote: >Hi all > >I wanted to thank everyone for the help with this issue.
