Part Number and components look like a Stewart Warner Kit, just
speculating of course, you see these with AutoMeter and other brands,
even VDO has one too.
All VW Air Cooled including Type 4 engines were a 1k tapered metric
thread for their Idiot Light Senders. The Water Cooled (inline and
boxer) used regular threads with the washer on stock senders. But VDO
has always a tapered "K" on their electric accessory pressure senders.
I've never used the mechanical tube style kits because there is too
much time lag on the pressure reading from the engine to the gauge on
REAR mounted VW engines. They work great on FRONT mounted engines
because the tubing is relatively short, less time lag. Had one of
these on a Toyota PU and a 66 Mustang though.....
