I was talking transaxles with Daryl Christensen on a trip we took this year,
and he mentioned that our vanagon transaxles are basically right-wheel-drive
first, due to the way the gear teeth are made (by my recollection). So, you
may be hearing some initial wear problems with your transaxle?
