In the US I think those are called "K" trucks. Short maybe for Kai, which they are called in Japan. Used as work trucks there. They aren't street-legal in the US but a lot of people with ranches seem to buy them for use strictly inside their property lines. I have been to several shops that buy these by the shipping container full, in working condition, and customize them. They should be street legal, they would be a lot of fun on the road I bet.
