they ask us the same questions going nord. I usually ask the officer to recommend low rate weekend accomodations around Montreal or Toronto. would like to have the nerve to say I'll be in the parking lot after the tour of the breweries. on the return I'd be affraid of an `ability impaired' arrest; would like to say the home market beer is stronger and I'm headed to detox. in all seriiousness, Customs Officers wield a LOT of power and it's not always easy to judge sense of humor. our agents tend to be more zealous than yours. a `Park Pass' would be a useful tool for back-up, cost effective accomodations. maybe the agent could offer a suggestion. it's good that you're thinking in advance. `spur of the moment weekend tour' invites more questions and more unsure answers. I wish you Godspeed in your travels; hope you enjoy the trip. please keep an open mind along the way - we're all not all that bad and we're not all to blame for the mess it's in ... drive happy ... safe and happy holidays
