A guy in Vegas converted one to electric a long time back, now it just sits in front of their shop as advertising.
This one's not that good of an install, if you look at the bottom of the van in my pic you can see a low battery cradling system.

That is pretty cool. I know Stephan White of Stephan's Auto Haus in Sacramento, CA, converted a VW Dasher Wagon to an electric motor, so why not a Vanagon?
