Yesterday a bunch of the Vanagon crew gathered at the Lucky Labrador Brewhouse in Portland, Or. to BS, kick tires, etc. I swung by for a short time and snapped some pretty mundane pics. (linked below) There were three rows of Vanagons, a bunch of Syncros and lots of cold shivering people, some even drinking beer. I was re-exposed to "Syncro-envy" looking at all the cool syncros and Dokas. One couple showed up in a new to them Westie, 82 I think, that they'd just picked up for $500 in remarkable condition. There was one green double cab syncro with an external roll cage, some westies with solar panels, lots of neat looking aftermarket bumpers and racks. There were a few 'low rider' looking rigs...skinny tires on bit wheels...and some lifted syncros on tall wheels with skidplates etc. a pug doggie with a Hoodie on..... fun stuff.
