There's been a huge misunderstanding here - we thought that you tested the blower before you put it in the dash. Didn't you? Check the current draw with switch on high (couple seconds only). If it doesn't send the ten amp range on your digital multimeter offscale then you've got a bad ground, bad switch or some such. If it does, then the motor is frozen. If by any faint chance the ten amp range on your meter is fused, don't do this test unless you're willing to expend a fuse, and if it's not fused do it *very* briefly so you don't burn up the internal shunt. Normal running draw of the uninstalled blower is around 12 amps on a fresh battery. Yours, David |
