Unless you do a lot of stop-n-go driving, you can do just fine without a heater blower. Just let the flow-through ventilation provide warm air up front.

Chris.

> OK, thanks for all the responses, now I have started shopping, and am more confused. Bus Depot has two blower motors, one for $59.00 and one for $156.00. The $59.00 one is Meyle brand while the more expensive one is AEG. Van Cafe sells either Febi/Bilstein or Dansk (i'm assuming they ship whichever one they have in stock) also for $59.00. I haven't checked any others yet (Ken, which one do you sell?) but I am well aware of the old saying "You get what you pay for", but is the $156.00 one really that much better? I guess I'm a bit bummed, because this is the year I was finally going to get heated gloves so I could ride my motorcycle in winter and not have to unfreeze my hands from the grips. Heated gloves are, well, right around $160.00. FWIW, we took the Vanagon down to Charlottesville, VA. yesterday (about a 200 mile round trip) and even without a front heater motor my wife and daughter kept telling me to turn down the heat (just had the rear one going) But yesterday was on the mild side as well. However, I do get a lot of whistling from the dash area too, so obviously the front seals are shot as well. > > > > > Jeff Stewart
