hey man ... if it's not enjoyable ...........don't do it. I have never found fixing anything to be 'a chore' ...like something to be avoided. Difficult and too challenging ..or course..LOTS . it's always been .......interesting, challenging, rewarding , and so forth. and darn straight things can be desperately aggravating at times.. but ... winners don't give up, they persevere.........and get the result. Your daughter will like/respect/admire you all the more for it. or put her to work on it .. she could probably figure it out. or buy say, a 1960 Ford Falcon.
