Jeff,

what you really need right now is a friend to come over and help with the dash. Turn the chore into a lark, have a few beer, make it fun.

I found the welded heater box tabs to be a pain, I did as David suggested and hacksawed them off.

Lubricate what you can while the dash is off, pedal assembly, wiper linkage.
