I don't drive a Vanagon because it is cool. I drive a Vanagon because someone introduced me to the joys of Vanagon camping many years ago, and ever since then, I can't live without it. Lola is my joy in life, also my nemesis when she is acting up. In a lot of ways, she is like a child that I have agreed to accept responsibility for. When she is good, she is oh so good, and when she is bad, she's horrid *smile*

So I'm still nursing those Napa batteries along, one of these days I'll get around to replacing both of them. In the meantime, there is a New Year's camping trip to prepare for. Decided on South Beach State Park, just South of Newport, Oregon, within walking distance of the Rogue Brewery. I can do the primitive camping thing in the summer but in the winter, I want my creature comforts. Heat is nice, so is light. The days ARE getting longer, but it's still dark from 5 pm to 7:30 am or so. Weather on the Oregon coast is forecast to be pleasant this weekend. So looking forward to getting out for a few days!

As the year draws to a close, I wanted to say Thank You to everyone on this list who posts and who has helped me over the past 5 years or so. When I have a problem I know who I can go to. That is priceless, and I appreciate each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

Have a fabulous New Year!
