I have to say I agree with Peter's assessment of the outsourcing. In my "day Job" I work for a very large shipping company ( the one that's not FedEx or DHL and has big brown trucks ) as a Customs Broker getting releases on all of the freight coming down from Western Canada. I see how the feds favor goods from China while making it increasingly difficult to sell us anything from Canada. As always smaller companies are hit harder. While we work towards finding ways to have things like this made in this country again, why not try and get as local as possible and give a North American company a try first? The trouble with this country is not Chinese made goods. It's the corporations looking after thier bottom lines, knowing you'll buy the crap they get thier Chinese manufacturers to make for you, and ignoring all else. Kevin 1986 Westy "Sweet Lelani"

The $465 was just for the lens btw not for the whole replacement kit...so Trevor engineered on autoCAD his first mold...thanks to Trevor, you gotta say, prices have been dropping ever since! There are a couple places that undercut our prices, but not match our quality, service or warranty! > > A year ago we bought the OEM manufacturing company for the skylight, camper hook up parts, faucet, we now own the OEM skylight mold, which after we had spoke with the original mold maker to refine our mold, many years ago, won't be much difference when we start making our 2012 skylights on the OEM mold. That's shape, it's also important what material is used and the thickness of the material. If its too thick, and you drive underneath a low parkade or something, instead of the skylight cracking which it was designed to do, you could rip the whole pop top apart...yum yum... > > Anyways, you can rest assured if you buy one of skylights and you need assistance, Trevor can talk you through any stage of the assembly, we also are very confident in the quality of our skylights and we warranty them!
