If you look thru the archives here, a series of posts by Alistair Bell, describes
him using a roller to paint his luggage rack, with a beautiful result. I think he
used a marine paint, but not sure about that.

I'll be painting the center of the top on my Titian Red Westy, white, using a
roller and marine paint (solar reflection).
