Yep. I didn't get a glass smooth surface, but it started out fuzzy. Before I got it, it sat in Texas sun for years, the gelcoat had basically oxidized away, and fibers were sticking out.

I used Interlux Primekote, an epoxy primer, followed by Interlux Perfection, a 2 part polyurethane. In order to cover the fuzz, I think I ended up with 3 prime coats, and 2 topcoats.
