We've been pretty silent lately on "trimming your tails" as they say
on the Vanguard sailboat (tailboat?) list, but it's list policy as
well as general politeness.  Internet "netiquette" suggests that you
should quote no more than twice as much material as you write
yourself.   I'm going to start pointing to that as it's gotten out of hand.
