BD has "German" for $39, in reality a local parts store set probably isn't much different frankly but who knows...  Autozone wants a whopping $19.  But for the extra $20 you sure can't go wrong with new "German" just depends on how fast you want to do the job.  Good "American" set if you want to support Mexico or wherever they are being made of Raybestos Premiums or Wagner Thermo-quiets is going to set you back the same $40 as the "German" ones, but are available local.   Anyone who is in AK and wants a set of religned Wagners that has been on my shelf for 15 years that I probably paid $50 for back then can have em for $15 BTW.   John ________________________________ From: Rick Koller <rkoller@HELIX.NIH.GOV> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Thursday, January 5, 2012 7:17 AM Subject: brake shoes Hi all,       I need to replace rear brake shoes, anyone have strong feelings regarding the brand?
