I've been a AAA member for about 30 years. I now have a Premier membership, which costs significantly more than you were quoted, but my wife and I get 1 x 200 mile tow and 3 x 100 mile tows. There are fewer people cheaper than me, yet I don't hesitate to renew this membership every year.  Consider it "peace-of-mind" insurance when traveling both near and far.  Especially when driving a 23 year old car that has over 300,000 miles on it. Plus you get a lot of 10-20% discounts on everything from hotels to Reeboks.  You might be surprised at the number of vendors who offer a AAA discount. " Real Life story. Every year my wife and I drive my restored 1972 Westfalia bus from San Francisco to this Annual Volkswagen gathering in Lake Havasu, AZ. Twenty minutes outside of Barstow, CA, the ignition coil went out and we sputtered to the side of the road.....  There we sat, in the dark, in the cold, cars blasting by on the highway.  I phoned for help and fifteen minutes later the AAA driver arrived in a flatbed ---  The right rig to tow my bus. " blah blah blah.  Short story, they were saved, you buy AAA you get saved also. I find it quite interesting that I received this 2 days before leaving for BBB at Lake Havasu in my own Westfalia.  Coincidence?  I think not!! Any other vanagonauts living in  surrounding states get this AAA offer this week?  Just curious if they sent it to all regional Vanagon/Bus  owners or maybe it was just my turn. I still can't decide whether to bite the hook or not.  50 something bucks a year sounds cheap, but then I'm cheap. Cheers, Ken Wyatt 82 westy SLC, UT
