Around here - I usually just buy a 25 foot roll of coated line and a
hand full of fittings. Most vans that are native to Southern Ontario
all need brake lines. Rather than just do one and chance it - I
replace them ALL. One by one including flexes. Just about any
vehicle more than 15 years I've owned, I've done the brake lines.
For brake fluid I always use DOT4 of a known quality brand. Higher
temp rating than DOT3, and flush it every 2 years.
