Having just done this job about 2-3 weeks ago I'll throw in my .02 cents. I chose to replace mine with the $59.00 unit, but the old one sits on my workbench. I'll be resurrecting it and reinstalling it at some future date. I didn't listen to the warnings, but the new motor on low speed makes this howling sound, speeds 2 and 3 seem OK. I ran this motor before installing it and it sounded fine. The old one freed up once it was out, it just squeals. <SIGH> Not a job I wanted to do twice!!!
