the *only* thing it has going for it ........is low miles.

not the best model to start with' let's say.
and I suspect the seller is likely not that aware of the entire water-cooled
nd wbxr, and subaru, and Zetec and TDI etc. etc. 'enhanced vanagons' world.
low miles are nice..
nd ..
have seen, an own ...vanagons with 200K on them..
nd sure they'be been through a few engines..
nd have their 'loving minor wear and tear' on the insides and outsides..
ut the whole van, suspension wise n' all , doesn't seem like there are that
any miles at all.
'most' vanagons these days are in the 150K to 250K miles range..
nd they are just like a traditional general aviation small plane..
ike a Cesna ...as long as you keep the body/chassis intact and healthy ..
ou can rebuilt and upgrade on it forever.
Vanaongs ....non-rusted and non-crashed ones..
vae many lives in them. Any good body/chassis can be turned into
hatever..

anyway...it's all fun.
