You misunderstood. The true 1.9TD AAZ was used in millions of Audi/VW/etc car models. A very similar 1.9TD engine was sold by VW Industrial Engine for generators, pumps, etc. Some venders have been selling the Industrial version to people to use in vehicle engine conversions. This has limitations since the injection pumps are different internally.
