Yes, they do. Though usually I can figure out what was to blame. This time, no. Anyway, I still have the whole setup, but one of the cylinders was scored so badly by the incident that it will have to be sleeved... $500 + bucks right there. I look forward to the day I get that engine back in there, and I was originally intending to use it to power a Behr underdash unit that I have tucked away. Add to that one of those all-electric power steering units that I see on eBay from time to time and would that not be a ride!

I just installed (around thanksgiving) a brand new 1.6 NA that is a delight to drive. That I intend to be my spare engine when I get the turbo back in there. I have already done everything, including install the EGT gauge, for the original turbo engine so all the hard work is done. I even left the SAAB 900 intercooler in the car.
