You're gonna drive 5000 miles and then worry about the cost of the
FERRY?!!! LOL! That burning van would do great at melting the ice
blocking it into the harbor, though.
Halfway won't work - it's wicked cold in the middle! St. John's is balmy
compared to Minneapolis or Edmonton. -1 (C) here at the moment, going up
to 4 tomorrow. Snow, rain, freezing rain - by morning the whole town is
probably going to be one very steep ice skating rink. Step out my front
door and I'll slide right down into the harbor. Sweet! (as the youngsters
say - or probably used to say, I'm sure I'm quite behind on teen-aged
colloquialisms)
Matilda (my van) is staying right where she is until that all goes away.
Sorry, George (Janini), we're not going to that probably-warm "dead of
winter" campout in Georgia...
