Hello, I have been reading through the archives in search of some info on adding ratio rockers to a 1.9L waterboxer motor. There's some info on the 2.1L and issues with fuel mixture if you do not have the performance chip. I've eliminated the nasty restriction in the J-pipe and will be fitting a new muffler to replace my rusty one with a magnaflow or such. I've got Dijijet as it's a '84 1.9L with an automatic. Just looking for a little more oomph for getting up the mountain passes here in Washington. Already threw out the worthless AC system to save some weight ;~) So, the question - anybody have any experience doing this? Comments? Thoughts? The motor is a rebuild with only like 25K on it - I'm not really interested in putting in a Subie engine yet. Tom '84 Westy "Spiny Norman" |
