 RE: Better gas mileage at 55 mph.
I should make it clear that the long stretches where I could cruise at 55
mph were driven on multi lane freeways/highways with very light traffic.
I'm sure I might have PO'd a couple of truck drivers that were running
about 10 mph over the speed limit but otherwise I wasn't interfering with
traffic.  And in those areas that traffic picked up I got off the cruise
control and was traveling 60-65 and sometimes better.  What I'm trying to
say is no drivers or vehicles were delayed or destroyed in this experiment.
