The very common reason for this failure is a faulty ignition switch. your high beams most likely still work when you pull the stalk ( ignition on or off, light switch off ...high beams should flash anytime ) .. when it's like this , it's almost always the ignition switch .. a very small, easily carried, easily plugged-in-to-test switch that's not expensive. It's silly not to have a spare on board on trips. stay cozy ! When the headlight switch is on the directional signals& 4 way flashers don't work, with the headlight switch off they work. I'm guessing that there is a problem with the switch, just my guess as I'm NOT a mechanic. Any other ideas or, if it's the switch - is there a way to bypass the switch so I can get home to Maine before I do a permanent fix. > I'm currently in Wu-Wei near Perth Amboy, NJ. > > Any help would be greatly appreciated. > reply via email to 4wuwei@gmail.com > or phone 207-542-5654 > > thanks, > Dake > |
