Hi Tony If a Glass shop breaks it they replace it! You break it your out the funds of doing it. If you have classic insurance they will cover it 100% usually. More then likely you do not, But If you contact a glass shop make sure you purchase a new seal and give to them when installing. Do not use the old crushed original dry seal. I usually put my own glass in all my VWs But after my Bay Bus front window ( Broke it 2 times all by my self ) called in the pros and it was covered by insurance Hagerty and they tossed it in, not a biggie and no charge.
