Subject: salvage sale at Transporter Werks in Raleigh, NC
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I am on Transporter Werks' mailing list because they did the initial work to get my 85 Westy AT road worthy. They are apparently getting ready to clear their yard. In their newsletter about this they included two pictures of the stuff they have and asked that any contact about salvage parts or cars be made by email.

In my dealings with Sean I felt that he was honest and did good work and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. I was very much a vanagon novice at that time though and it's hard to say whether I can give a good evaluation in that regard--I just know that everything he worked on, worked, and he was up front about what it would cost and if he discovered something mid stream he told me about it before going further, etc.

Anyway--here are two shots they included of their yard, I am guessing they are getting rid of all of it but they don't say that explicitly.

Here is the text from the newsletter:

Huge Salvage Sale > > Saturday, March 24th from 9am--4pm > > Come and buy full vehicles or miscellaneous new and used parts. These > vehicles DO NOT have titles. Many will be crushed and we are looking for at > least salvage value. Arrangement for pickup must be within ten days and > payment in full is due by or before pickup. If you see a vehicle you are > interested in or need specific parts off one of the salvage vehicles, > please feel free to email us before the salvage sale and we will be glad to > sell or ship to you as soon as possible. Please be specific as possible > and email ONLY! No phone calls for the Salvage Items. > > Email: customer.service@transporterwerks.com >

I have no association with them other than having been a customer three years ago.

Happy hunting.

mike
