Looks like it already was patched. Time for a new one. Do not drive with this condition. Fire hazard plus the air sucking back in can warp the exhaust valve. Just replace it and be done with it. You can change just the one pipe.

I think I can get in there with my MIG if I remove that pump... I haven't done anything quite like this before, and no exhaust work at all. Anybody have any tips, tricks or warnings before I go at this thing?
