Here is the information on coverage on my AAA Oklahoma web site:

http://www.ok.aaa.com/membership/MemberHandbook/memberfeatures.htm

I called AAA Oklahoma for explanation, since to me the statement regarding RVs and motorcycles is vague. "Additional coverage," could mean for an additional fee. Turns out, with AAA Plus or AAA Premier, an Oklahoma plan covers any vehicle one owns or travels in, doesn't matter if it is a sedan, van, pickup truck, motorcycle, OR RV. For clarity, and a little to the agent's irritation, I asked again if that included a motorhome or trailer. Answer, "Yes, any vehicle you are driving, towing, or riding in or on."

I thought I had read before that an RV required additional category of coverage not applicable to a car or van. I thought I had asked before, but evidently if I did, I misunderstood. Maybe at that time, the agent thought I was asking concerning the AAA Basic, which does not cover an RV. At any rate, the van is not considered to be one. But with AAA Plus or AAA Premier, the distinction is irrelevant. With AAA Basic, which provides much less service, the van is still fully covered, but you definitely won't get the longer tows.

So, I hope I understand completely now, and if my sister comes up in her motorhome and we all go somewhere in it, it will be covered (but that will not happen, I definitely have no desire to travel in one of those things, and she knows it).

Does AAA coverage differ in other states? I asked that, and was told that I am covered in all states (which I already knew). But that doesn't mean coverage purchased in New York (for example) is the same. But if not, that would be a nightmare for agents and service providers.
