My Parents 1985 westy "putter 'n knit" turned 200,000 miles yesterday on the way home from The True Canadian Winter Bus Campout. Since Mom and Dad are True Canadian Seniors, I phoned them in Florida to share the news.

I would have taken my own vanagon, but an outbreak of gout surfaced in my left foot on Thursday and left me unable to drive a standard transmission for a few days. So I attended camp as a passenger in my parents van, with my brother Brent at the wheel. With some meds and rest the gout has now passed, for which I am truly thankful.

Happy trails,
