I was just about to cross a three mile bridge in the wife's 09 Corolla when the TPMS light came on. I stopped at the base of the bridge where there was still ample space to pull over. Found the right rear tire leaking bad enough to where I could hear the air escaping over the traffic going by. I wouldn't have made it across the bridge. I always thought the TPMS was useless too until that experience.

Spare Tire Size I have wondered about the real utility of the TPMS. I have it on one car (not an option). So far as I can tell, being one who checks tire pressure regularly, and looks my tires over at every stop when traveling, it is of no value. I have a manual TPMS in the glove compartment, and it works perfectly when I apply it. |
