Spare less cars are becoming more common even without run flat tires. To many folks cannot safely change a tire and should call road service. Of course this don't apply to most of us but how many drivers of normal vehicles can change engines.

I know Mini Cooper's don't have spare tires - they come with factory run-flats. Many of the newer SUV's (Touareg, Cayenne, X5) come with deflated spares that are all collapsed for space. You have to use the factory air compressor to inflate it.

Not a big fan not being able to change the tire at the side of the highway. The few times I have need my spare tire I have been quite a distance from home.
