I have done this task a couple of times. The first time, I removed the seat completely. The second time, I removed the kick panel and took the seat loose at the bottom bolts and tilted it back, leaving it in the car. I propped it up with a 2 x 4 to work on the heater successfully.

We removed the six screws around the plastic shroud that covers the hoses and heater core, but were unable to remove the plastic cover completely. This allowed the plastic cover to tilt forward, but can not be removed. Is there a process to remove the plastic shroud without removing the rear seat and frame? The Bentley manual shows a diagram of the layout, but doesn't appear to cover the repair of the rear heater. >> >> Thanks in advance, >> Kevin
