Hi.. I don't see any replies yet to your question , so here is my suggestion .. Get the size and Gates number off the existing belt. go to your FLAPS with that # and get their next shorter belt.

better still, use german belts on a german vanagon.

or talk to whoever did the work and have them do it right this time, since you say you 'had it done' ..by some shop or technician I figure that means.
