Alrighty then... Here is what I sent Spencer..

Hello Spencer,

My wife and I did a 4 week trip through Europe on our own with no agende other than to get from Rome to Heathrow airport in that time. Best trip ever! The leg of our trip that tooks us to Wolfsburg was on a train from Rotenburg which took about 4 hours? We arrived about mid-day and walked over to the museum from the train station and spent 2 hours there. Very interesting. As we were traveling mostly by train and wanted to ride to Paris that night we tried to get a sleeper car which took some back and forth talking and signing to the ticket agent. When we finally got our ticket it showed about 5 train changes until we would get to Hanover where we'd get the sleeper car. Well we were tired and almost missed one of the train changes and finally got to Hanover. Our "sleeper" was a car where we would sit with other passengers and try to sleep. I was very dissappointed and it was one of the low points of our trip. But we made up for it the rest of the trip. I would suggest getting fluent enough with the language to specify (just in case you need a sleeper car) that you want a sleeper car dedicated to yourself and your companion and not a situp and try to sleep arrangement.

Most of our trip was great. And not having a specific itinerary keeps you from worrying about where you have to be next. Just enjoy the adventure. That's what it's all about.

Have fun!
