Remove the console around the shift lever to get at the neutral safety switch. to get that cover off, start at a tiny allen screw on the shift 'knob' ...

once the console cover is off ...simple matter of seeing two big fat wires..( don't confuse back-up light wires with starter wires ) . just jumpering the two starter wires together will bypass the switch there, if that's the problem.

( don't tell anyone ...I rigged a manual push button starter button and put it right above the light switch on the the panel on the left there...that way .. in times of very expensive gas....rather than sit at a traffic light idling and wasting fuel .. I can shut off in Drive .... then turn the key back on immediately. when it's time to go ...just push the button ..she fires right off in Drive and away ya go. This is only for those smart enough not to start it in gear unless they really mean to. Not recommended for your common ........ah .............your common person. )
