Subject: Got some type 4 main bearings for sale in KS
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Just wanted to drop the list a line about a few sets of type 4 main bearings I have for sale. These are in Kolbenschmidt and I have a few different sizes:

021198495A (.020 case/.020 crank) 021198483A (std case/.010 crank) 021198485A (std case/.020 crank)

I need to get $149 a set. You can get the Mahle bearings no problem right and I can do them in many different sizes for $75 a set. However getting your hands on a set of KS German made main bearings is getting pretty much impossible for the type 4 engine. If you have an aircooled Vanagon or late Bus and you are thinking about having your engine rebuilt at some point in the future, you should pick up a set of these while you can. After the few sets I have are gone, not sure when more are going to be available again (if history is a guide, several years at least). Just FYI. *
