----snip-------

So, to get the conversation going, anyone got comparative experience driving in icy snow w/ both Hakkas & Hankook tires? As usual, YMMV, Mr. BZ-every 37 years you gotta do this. -------------

Tom, welcome to age 40! That short trip just added three years to your life…. :-)

Glad to hear the BZman and pooch Carl arrived safe and sill crazy. With the wheels, rubber side down and not on a flat deck Tow Truck. Whoa, that sounded like a great trip!

Hakki CQ snow tires turn the 2wd Vanagon into a snow-plow in the dry stuff. Sniped so, wear pretty fast on dry hot roads is my only dis.

Enjoy Maine. I waited until I turned 58 before visiting.

Pz On rock, about as far from Rocky Maine as one can get in N.A..
