FWIW, so was I, but sliding door panels really take a beating, I've never found a decent one over years of searching in junk yards. I did recently find a Mark III Vanagon (yes, Mark III did convert Vanagons back in the day) that had custom door panels that were two color, unfortunately light/dark gray. I bought them anyway and recovered them in ultra suede fabric that matched my Bronze Beige Metallic Westy. Turned out looking pretty nice for not a lot of $$, but still a lot of work. This van also had some cool looking window blinds, made of plastic though and ravaged from years of sitting in the sun, they fell apart when I tried to remove them.
