Can be removed from outside. They are dehydrated and fragile. Put a rag over it, vise grips not too tight, 1/2 turn counter clockwise, careful you don't lose the hose. I'd suggest flushing both hoses, pump and reservoir as they get very dirty. I've just ordered 2 new ones from GW (something like 9.95/pr) and am going to put new hose & Y in also but I will be doing the nozzle and it's hose attachment from outside. Simply can't get at the nozzle from inside. There is a thread in Samba on this. Good luck.
